Deepika perform high stunt for ‘Lafange Parindey’

‘long legged’ Deepika performed some high action stunts without using body double. In the movie “Lafange Parinde”, Deepika plays a tomboy, who will be seen donning leather jackets and performing some adrenaline rushing bike feats.

But Deepika’s co-actor Neil Nitin Mukesh is finding it hard to match up to her passion. Last week, while performing some high action sequels for ‘Lafange Parindey’, Neil refused when he was told to jump into a deep mud pit and asked for a body double. However, Deepika showed resilience and went ahead with the daredevil stunt.

Talking to a news daily, a close source said, “Everyone in the unit thought it was too dangerous because Deepika had to walk straight into the pit and fall into the swirling muddy water. Once she fell in the pit only professional divers could help her come out. That’s how deep the hole in the ground was.”

When enquired, Deepika confirmed the episode and said, “Yes, I did jump into the pit and I had to make it look like an accident so that the scene looked convincing. I had to do whatever it took.”

Shilpa begains ROYALTY CLUB in MUMBAI

Bollywood beauty Shilpa Shetty, who is also the co-owner of IPL team has announced her latest venture on micro-blogging site Twitter. She is all set to open a new club called Royalty in Mumbai with her husband Raj Kundra.

"You heard it here first as promised. Having our first party here after the Rajasthan Royals match, hope we win...more reason to celebrate," she adds.

Imran and Avantika getting engaged tonight

Bollywood’s most eligible bachelor Imran Khan is all set to get officially engaged to his longtime girlfriend Avantika Malik tonight. Although it’s going to be a grand celebration when the two exchange rings at Avantika’s family farmhouse in Karjat, Imran has planned to keep it as a close family affair. The actor says that he doesn’t want his engagement to be a “DRAMA”!

Well, to everyone’s surprise, Imran’s not invited anyone barring filmmaker Karan Johar for the ceremony. So not even his good friend Ranbir? “I have invited Karan, but no matter what media reports, I have not invited actors to the engagement. So Ranbir’s not on the guestlist.”

Talking to a news daily about the special day, Imran said, “We have invited 300 guests, mostly family and close friends. We wanted to keep it personal.”

As for the guest list, Imran revealed, “Aamir Khan will be there with wife Kiran, so will Mansoor (Imran’s uncle) and family.”

Sonam Joined Acting Class

Most actors these days are from acting schools. Deepika Padukone also made her way to Anupam Kher’s school after ‘Om Shanti Om’ released. Probably all these compounded as we got to hear Sonam Kapoor is off to New York to polish her own acting skills.

The girl, who had started off as an assistant director with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, had admitted to us once that what she actually wanted to do was to write rather than act or make films. But now that she is in the acting profession, Sonam is apparently taking every care to be better than the rest.

Wonder if her parents would have preferred a writer daughter though, considering they initially were quite averse to her joining the industry. Preity Zinta first time in Adult movie

This film is based on various social issues highlighting domestic violence as one of the major issues plaguing women all over the world. Videsh is a sensitive portrayal of a young bright woman who gets married to a man she has never met. She leaves her loving family behind in India and shifts to Canada only to face the harsh realities of life. The film is slated for release on the 27th of March.

Videsh a film based on domestic violence has sure been in news off late and for all the right reasons until recent media reports suggested that the film is too violent and Deepa Mehta has been requested to tone down the battering of Preity Zinta in several scenes.

The essence of the film is highlighting social issues and domestic violence is one amongst them. The Censor Board has objected to the brutality in a few scenes and therefore Deepa Mehta and BR Films have decided to go along with the 'A' Certificate which would not compromise on the creative integrity of the film.

Is Justic with Mugdha......

Again proved that Kat is the first choice of director Rohit Shetty, So Mugdha Godse has replaced Katrina Kaif in director Rohit Shetty's next entertainer. According to shetty Katrina must be added all his project, She would have been a definite value-add.

Mugdha, who is paired opposite Neil Nitin Mukesh in Madhur Bhandarkar's "Jail" too, is only too happy to be in the full-on entertainer that is Ajay Devgan's home production.

"I love singing and dancing around trees and have no contempt for hardcore commercial Hindi films. I'm happy to be playing one of the female leads in the film. Moreover, my part requires me to look glamorous as well as add to the plot," said Mugdha.

Is she aware that Katrina was initially approached for the role that she has been signed on for?

"I have heard about this, but frankly I don't worry about such things. Cliched as it may sound, replacements do happen in the industry. I don't know whether I'm replacing anybody or not. but I'm glad about playing an interesting character," Mugdha chirped.

Kangana's Dream for Faishion Designer

It seems that Kangana has been completely inspired by her last film Fashion and by the various fashion designers she worked in close connect with. It is believed that Kangana, who always wanted to be a fashion designer, has decided pursue her dream. So Kangana has enrolled herself in a reputed fashion institute in London to learn fashion designing.

According to an industry insider, Kangana’s decision to enroll for the course is totally unplanned. She in fact had given dates for a film opposite Sunny Deol. But now that the film is shelved, Kangana decided to invest her time in preparing herself to be a fashion designer. But acting doesn’t take a backseat for the lovely actress. Post her course, Kangana will start shooting for her forthcoming films as it’s her primary passion in life.

It can be recalled that recently Abhay Deol has shifted to New York for a welding and metal work course. Seems the young Bollywood brigade believes in the ‘Jack of all, master of some’ adage.

The Lions Gold Awards were held recently in the suburbs and are well-known as a Musical Celebration for Exceptional Contribution to Cinema.

Mugdha Godse has truly arrived in style! The pretty lass has not just wowed audiences with her debut performance in FASHION but looks like she has impressed the critics too! Mugdha recently bagged the Lions Gold Award for the 'Best Debutant Actress' for her dazzling performance in the movie FASHION.

On receiving the award Mugdha said, "It's a special award as its my first and its not from any film award function but from an organization made by people, for the people; and if people accept you as an actor then half the battle is won. Lions club association has been rewarding all those people from different fields from society so it makes me proud to be part of the special ones!"

Kareena refused to perform...........

Kareena Kapoor has refused to perform with Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Bipasha Basu at an awards function to be held today. Kareena informed the organizers about her decision last minute. The organisers were taken by surprise when they learnt that Kareena had opted out of the show at the last minute, they have been running the promos of the show with Kareena and the other four actresses.

The act in question was the finale of the awards ceremony. Our source said, "The organisers had planned back to back performances with Kareena, Katrina, Priyanka, Deepika and Bipasha. Kareena, who has done many more films than the other four who are performing in the finale did not want to be clubbed with them. She wants to do bigger, better and exclusive stuff."

Our source added, "As a policy Kareena has decided not to perform at weddings and New Year bashes and she had made this public too. As for this particular function, she was in two minds for some time but later decided to stick to her decision."

Director of the show, Mohammed Morani of Cineyug told us, "Kareena is out from the function. Her name will have to be pulled out from the TV promos. We will do that soon."

Another news doing the rounds is that Bebo, who is fast turning into an advertisers' delight, has declined to endorse an international cosmetic brand because her hands are full. "The international brand is a trademark to reckon with. Any other actress in Kareena's place would have jumped at it," said a source who refused to reveal the name of the brand.

"Kareena is endorsing brands like Anne French, Globus, Lux, Boroplus, Vivel and Kurkure and clients are very happy with her. Their product sales have shown a rise so it is obvious that they want Kareena to continue to endorse their products," added the source.
