Shahid Kapoor’s honour in the Oxford dictionary

The actor, who has a huge fan base of ladies across the world, is so much in demand these days that fan sites by women are flooding the internet. Smitten fans just love to exchange little information’s about their heartthrob but not in our day-to-day language. According to a news daily, they have created special words to discuss their hero.

The special word, ‘Shanatics’ refer to fans who are fanatic about Shahid Kapoor. Guess what is ‘Shayanka’? Well, Shahid’s fans gave this name to Shahid and Priyanka’s jodi in the file ‘Kaminey’. ‘Sharashtra’ and ‘Shashaland’ refers to the kingdoms of Shahid, where ‘Shanatics’ reside. ‘Shak’ as well as ‘Shasha’ are two other nicknames of the actor.

Everyone must be aware of the origin of the word ‘Fahid’ — of course! And last but not the least, the girl fans call themselves as ‘Kaminies’ and ‘Charlie’s Angels’.

Salman and Katrina will marry soon

Loveleen Tandon Co-director of Slumdog millioners

As a co-director of Slumdog Millionaire Loveleen Tandan is all set to direct her film. And if rumours are to be believed she has already spoken to Anil Kapoor about it.

Loveleen Tandan's most memorable experience at the Oscars? "My favourite moment was when A R Rahman came on stage and started to sing 'O Saya' with the dancers. I got goose bumps, and within seconds I was weeping. I felt so homesick at that moment. My worst nightmare was I'd trip and fall on my saree on red carpet.

"I'm taken aback by the success of Slumdog Millionaire. I've contributed so much to it, I never felt I wasn't part of it. I never needed any endorsement."

Will Danny Boyle work with Loveleen again? "I don't know about that. I'll be doing my own film now. I'm scripting my own film now. All I can say about it is that it won't be a female-centric film just because I am making it. I don't see myself as only a woman. My film will have strong voices from both strong men and women characters."

And of course if Anil Kapoor steps in to produce the film, as rumours insist, there's nothing like it.
Informs Loveleen, "That's right. There was a guy Sujeet filming the entire crew and unit shooting our film. And I think there's a book on the making of Slumdog Millionaire coming up."

Who is the Best : Shahruk or Aamir........

After the great success of Ghajini’s and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi at the box office, left tongues wagging about how Aamir has finally overtaken the Bollywood king Shah Rukh. What followed were Aamir’s innumerable statements that described SRK as a manipulative and pompous star who praises no one but himself.

After the shoulder injury, Shah Rukh turned up at the Filmfare awards recently only to say how stars should be ‘sportive’ about other’s wins as well. Without paying heed to Aamir’s allegations of labelling SRK a narcissist, Shah Rukh praised himself by saying, “I always feel that I will win the Best Actor award.”

Shah Rukh’s patch up with the Bachchans is another signal of him showing Aamir and Salman that he still is the best when it comes to maintaining relationships within the industry. “People call me a good PR but more than anything I am a fantastic person,” said SRK at the recent Amrita Arora wedding too!

So, if you think the lukewarm response of Rab Ne and Billu or even the shoulder injury has calmed down our confident SRK, the answer is no. He is in fact busy silencing Aamir!

Is Justic with Mugdha......

Again proved that Kat is the first choice of director Rohit Shetty, So Mugdha Godse has replaced Katrina Kaif in director Rohit Shetty's next entertainer. According to shetty Katrina must be added all his project, She would have been a definite value-add.

Mugdha, who is paired opposite Neil Nitin Mukesh in Madhur Bhandarkar's "Jail" too, is only too happy to be in the full-on entertainer that is Ajay Devgan's home production.

"I love singing and dancing around trees and have no contempt for hardcore commercial Hindi films. I'm happy to be playing one of the female leads in the film. Moreover, my part requires me to look glamorous as well as add to the plot," said Mugdha.

Is she aware that Katrina was initially approached for the role that she has been signed on for?

"I have heard about this, but frankly I don't worry about such things. Cliched as it may sound, replacements do happen in the industry. I don't know whether I'm replacing anybody or not. but I'm glad about playing an interesting character," Mugdha chirped.

Akshay got bracks

''You can see there is a lot of competition around for me nowadays,'' he admits, ''I love working with younger heroes but am also scared of them. They are all so fit. If I have to work with them then I have to match up to them. And that means I ought to be fit and fine, for there's no time to sit and rest.''

Amrita Roa going the way of Victory

After her successful WELCOME TO SAJJAPUR last year, Amrita Rao is kick starting 2009 with VICTORY. Considering the fact that she is quite choosy in picking up projects, what prompted her to say yes to VICTORY? After all, it is meant to be centered on this young boy (Harman Baweja) who goes on to be a super-cricketer, so did she really see some meat in the part that she plays?

'When I heard the narration of VICTORY, I sensed it right away that script was the hero of the film. The screenplay is just superb here. Also, every character's role is well attached to VICTORY that has a great storyline. I play the part of Nandini, who is Vijay's best childhood buddy', says the pretty young lady.

She is very balanced and isn't starry eyed about success. Even though Vijay goes on to be a superstar, she remains rooted to ground.

Komal Chautala model coordinator in Faishon

We are talking about Chitrashi Rawat, popularly known as 'Komal Chautala' of Chak De India, who would next be seen in Fashion. In the film, she is said to be playing the role of a model coordinator and turns out to be an integral part of the plot. Interestingly, her presence in the film has been a closely guarded secret and was kept under the wraps for almost a year since the film came on floors.

Starring Priyanka Chopra, Kangna Ranaut and Mugdha Godse in the lead, Fashion is all set to hit the screens on 29th October. Other Diwali release to arrive on the same day is Golmaal Returns.

After being prodded further, Madhur agreed to divulge about her role. "Chitrashi plays a model coordinator in the film. She approached me when work on Fashion had begun and expressed that she wanted to work with me. I did tell her that the part where she would have fitted in was important but not too lengthy. However, she agreed since she wanted to be a part of Fashion."

Is Payal Rohatgi A “item girl”

The actress who was last seen in the 2007 movie "Dhol" is Payal Rohatgi will now be sharing screen space with the likes of Irrfan Khan and Konkana Sen Sharma in the upcoming film Dil Kabaddi.

“After Dhol, she was getting offers for item songs. But I did not want to do those because I did not want to be known as an item girl. Payal stay off the big screen for almost a year I do not come from that sensibility. After Dhol , the best script that was offered to me was Dil Kabaddi. I have to move up from what I was doing”, says Payal.

“The film falls in the genre of relationships. It is about marriage. It is about the adultery we commit in marriage without even being aware of it. It is all about emotions and mind games. But there is nothing evil in it”, says Payal about the film.

Gushing details about her role Payal said, “I play Kaya in the film. I am opposite Irrfan Khan in the film. I am playing as his girl friend. She creates excitement in the life of Irrfan Khan who is already married to Soha Ali Khan. I am playing an aerobic instructor in the film. Apart from looking good, it is a good chunk of a role.”

With Rahul Bose, Kay Kay Menon and Konkana Sen Sharma for company, Payal’s acting skills will surely climb a notch higher. Ok best of luck for Payal Rohatgi after one year gap
