Can Dino Beats Akshay

One guy who is making more news than any of the celebrities in tinsel town put together is the one who clicks with them, and he clicks literally well! Ok, enough teasing, we are talking about ace photographer Daboo Ratnani who has, as always, done a fantabulous job of shooting an outstanding 2009 calendar.

That he has packed in 48 celebrities into the calendar is old news but what's not is the fact that Daboo is wondering who will win more applauds between his personal favorites - Khiladi Akshay Kumar or the stylish and sexy Dino Morea, as both of them are looking absolute breath-taking in the calendar.

But the wicked whisper swears that it's going to be Dino who will beat Akshay hands down. Those who have had a sneak-peak into the calendar are swearing by Dino's killer look in the album!

Well, with an ecstatic body and a smile to die for we won't be too surprised with this prediction!

A WEDNESDAY awarded of Best of Best Movies 2008

RAB NE BANA DI JODI and GHAJINI, the two major release of 2008, settles down, the awards season begins. We bring you to the list of BEST OF THE BEST that Bollywood witnessed in the year gone by.

2008 has ended with the positive verdict of GHAJINI & being declared as one big hit, let's get nostalgic and have a quick round up on the things that kept Bollywood on toes through the year.

We've had two fairly high profile movies released in the past few months that have dealt with the subject of 'terrorism in the big city'. One (Mumbai Meri Jaan [Images]) was based around a real event; the other (Aamir) supposedly sprang from the imagination of a man who was surprised to learn that a very similar film existed elsewhere in the world. A Wednesday fits into this sub-genre but is greatly removed from the other two.

A WEDNESDAY clearly stands as THE most topical movie of 2008. When half a dozen movies with terrorism as its theme (MISSION ISTANBUL, CONTRACT, BLACK & WHITE etc.) were released in the year gone by, the only movie which actually spoke from the point of view of a common man was A WEDNESDAY. Director Neeraj Pandey didn't get into pseudo intellectual talks about how a terrorist is born or proposed a solution. He plain and simple raised the voice of a common man and asked a question - 'How should a man on the street react with all the bombs and bullets around him?'

Akshay got bracks

Akshay is enjoying his success in Bollywood yet he is aware that he has competition. And it's not the well established Khans that are giving him a run he believes...

In fact it's the 'new age' heroes, and the young kids on the block that are making Akki work harder than ever before. His CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA isn't the best film in the world. Akshay takes back with him moments... special ones.

After all, he's a Dilli da kuda, and shooting in Chandni Chowk was exhilarating. Anyway, it was when Akshay Kumar entered a dhaba in Paranthewalli galli that he broke down.

''You can see there is a lot of competition around for me nowadays,'' he admits, ''I love working with younger heroes but am also scared of them. They are all so fit. If I have to work with them then I have to match up to them. And that means I ought to be fit and fine, for there's no time to sit and rest.''

Looks like the guy's all charged up, eh? It's not long before he'll be co-starring with son Aarav. Is that the plan, AK?
