Most actors these days are from acting schools. Deepika Padukone also made her way to Anupam Kher’s school after ‘Om Shanti Om’ released. Probably all these compounded as we got to hear Sonam Kapoor is off to New York to polish her own acting skills.The girl, who had started off as an assistant director with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, had admitted to us once that what she actually wanted to do was to write rather than act or make films. But now that she is in the acting profession, Sonam is apparently taking every care to be better than the rest.
Wonder if her parents would have preferred a writer daughter though, considering they initially were quite averse to her joining the industry. And now, her dad Anil Kapoor is not happy about her being away from home. Incidentally, Abhay Deol, who was linked to Sonam recently, has also been trying to make New York his base. Wonder if there is some connection!
