It seems that Shilpa Shetty, who is now a partner of the Rajasthan Royals team along with beau Raj Kundra, The team has launched a contest titled Royal Diva, wherein any girl from Rajasthan between 18-22 years of age can compete to become the captain of the cheerleaders’ team.In fact, the winner is supposed to be crowned by none other than Shilpa. While this information is available on the team’s official site, and is also being promoted through radio channels in Jaipur, when DT got in touch with Shilpa who was in the middle of a shoot, she said, “What’s this Royal Diva about? I haven’t heard about any contest.”
The team’s marketing head, Utkarsh Singh, confirmed that the contest is on. When asked why Shilpa was denying knowledge of the same, all he said was, “If Shilpa is saying she doesn’t know about the contest, then you’ll have to speak to her, but the contest is on, and everybody in RR is aware of it.”
