Sanjay Dutt will be able to contest the Lok Sabha elections, several of his pals have come forward and volunteered to campaign for their Sanju Baba's victory in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. Bollywood stars who have already put a sizeable chunk of their time aside to follow Dutt on his campaign trail in Lucknow are Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi and director David Dhawan.
About Ameesha, Oberoi says, "She and Mrs. Sanjay Dutt are very close friends. It's only natural that Ameesha is part of the core group that has come together to campaign for Mr. Dutt." However, when contacted, Ameesha expressed her inability to campaign for Dutt because of her tight schedules. A source very close to Sanjay Dutt says, "We feel Sanju will be the first Bollywood star in parliament who will work selflessly for the improvement of the film industry. The others have had divided interests or none at all."
After March 30, when the courts pass their verdict on Sanjay's electoral plans, at least 3 dozen A-listers are expected to join the campaign group. In the meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt seems very happy and confident in Lucknow. "It's a hectic schedule. I've rallies and meetings from 8 am to 11 pm. But I'm enjoying myself. Yes, I'm learning to be comfortable addressing crowds." Suneil Shetty, on the other hand is game anytime. "Anytime Baba wants me, I'm there for him. He just has to tell me when wants to come to Lucknow."
