Dipika Padukon Out of Kapoor family's Party
Randhir Kapoor had thrown a lavish party for the cast of Sajid Khan’s ‘Houseful’. While all the cast members were invited, Deepika was the only leading lady from the film who was kept at bay.
Deepika who had been facing the ire of Ranbir’s parents throughout their short-lived affair, is now facing the wrath from other members of the Kapoor family too.
And even though Randhir maintained that all the three ladies from the film namely Lara Dutta, Jiah Khan and Deepika Padukone, were not invited, sources confirm that Deepika was the sole actress who didn’t receive an invite.
Talking to reporters, Randhir said,” I have invited only a few friends. The girls are not in Mumbai. The dinner has nothing to do with ‘Houseful’. Can’t I have a few friends at my place once in a while?”
Nevertheless, Jiah surprised all when she stated that she was on the guest list. The stunner said, “Yeah, I know about the party. I am trying to go. But it is also my uncle’s birthday tonight and will try to go to both the places.

Salman is Actor with Writer in Veer
Salman was not just the main actor in `Veer`, he was also the writer. We had a lot of differences of opinion. The way he narrated the story and the way I perceived it as a director were different.
"Moreover I brought in other writers Shailesh Verma, Shaktimaan (who wrote my `Gadar`) and Krishna Raghav. Raghav did all the research. So Salman`s story has been interpreted in the way I thought right."
He said Salman insisted that Anil watch his source of inspiration, the Yul Brynner-Tony Curtis 1962 film ‘Taras Bulba’. "But we couldn`t get a single print of the film. So I had to make do with the images that I had in my mind from childhood.
Anil admits he never wanted Salman`s favourite composers Sajid-Wajid to do the music of "Veer". "I had heard their tunes in his earlier films and I was sure Sajid -Wajid weren`t the right ones for a period drama like `Veer`. I met them reluctantly and was surprised by their understanding of Hindustani music. We worked really well together. And the fact that I could convince Gulzar saab to work with Sajid-Wajid was a stroke of luck."

Will 3-Idiot become Management Lesson
Super hit movie ‘3 Idiots’ is all set to make a significant debut in several management schools now. Many institutional authorities have decided to make ‘3 Idiots’, the movie, a part of the learning experience for their students.
Though there has been a spate of suicides, attributed to the wrong message passed on through ‘3 Idiots’, teachers feel that the film has great potential in imparting some very valuable lessons on life. The authorities seem to believe that the movie can help one learn about the normal problems one faces in day to day life, and can prove to be motivational for students who feel they are stuck mid-way.
A 12-slide presentation prepared by management trainer Dr Shailesh Thaker from Ahmedabad Management Association, titled `Passion leads to excellence: Management Lessons from 3 Idiots`, is already being circulated among MBA students through a chain of e-mails.
Professor Piyush Shah of NMIMS said,"Todays, many student do an MBA as they want to earn more. The movie has something for everyone to learn from, whether it is parents, children, or professionals".

Imran and Avantika getting engaged tonight
Bollywood’s most eligible bachelor Imran Khan is all set to get officially engaged to his longtime girlfriend Avantika Malik tonight. Although it’s going to be a grand celebration when the two exchange rings at Avantika’s family farmhouse in Karjat, Imran has planned to keep it as a close family affair. The actor says that he doesn’t want his engagement to be a “DRAMA”!
Well, to everyone’s surprise, Imran’s not invited anyone barring filmmaker Karan Johar for the ceremony. So not even his good friend Ranbir? “I have invited Karan, but no matter what media reports, I have not invited actors to the engagement. So Ranbir’s not on the guestlist.”
Talking to a news daily about the special day, Imran said, “We have invited 300 guests, mostly family and close friends. We wanted to keep it personal.”
As for the guest list, Imran revealed, “Aamir Khan will be there with wife Kiran, so will Mansoor (Imran’s uncle) and family.”

SALMAN used his different formet in "VEER"
"Veer", slated to release Jan 22, is a story of bravery, treachery and love. The story revolves around the 18th century Pindaris who preferred death to dishonour and fought to their last breath to save their land. Salman plays the lead role.
The language has undergone a huge change. The dialogues are in contemporary language but would show that people of that time used to speak and behave like this, ust two weeks were left to start the film and we didn`t have anyone who would fit the role. We were searching left, right and centre and met her by coincidence on the set of Subhash Ghai`s `Yuvvraaj`."
Salman denies any resemblance between Zarine and his girlfriend Katrina Kaif.
"Except being fair and having a sharp nose, I don`t see any similarity between them. Give god that credit for not making two people identical," said Salman.
The film`s story has been written by Salman himself and while scripting it he was scared whether his father Salim Khan, a noted writer, would approve. "I showed the story to my father and the biggest fear was what is he going to say. But he said it`s a good story."
When asked why he chose to make a period film now, he said, "I had written the story 20 years ago but at that time it wasn`t possible to make the film. I thought now is the right time to make it, so I did."
Salman Khan says period dramas usually give the impression that people in past eras never used to laugh, but promises that his new movie ‘Veer’ will have its light moments.

HERE FERI -4 will back with new trio
Super tri jodi of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Sunil Shetty from ‘Hera Pheri’ who made the film an all time favorite with moviegoers, will not be seen in the third installment of the film that is called ‘Hera Pheri 4’. Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal have been replaced by Sanjay Dutt and Nana Patekar.
Confirming the news a source said, “Both actors have lost interest in the project and have made it clear they have no interest in coming together for yet another `Hera Pheri` film. Producer Firoz Nadiadwala delayed the film in the hope that he would be able to convince them to stay on, but now he has no choice but to go ahead with different actors."
A sure disappointment for the series fans but as sources state it was Akshay and Paresh who opted out of the flick. And though many believe that the move is triggered by the lackluster run of the second part at the Box Office, officially it is stated that the actors backed out, as they don’t have dates.
Well Sanjay Dutt and Nana Patekar sure have some big shoes to fill, here’s hoping they do a good job at it.
